Mezuzahs are small containers that many Jewsih people use to carry special portions of Scripture. They can be worn, nailed to a doorway, or placed in one's car.
The original injunction to carry Scripture was given in Deut.6:9, when the children of Israel were told to "Write these commandments upon the doorposts of your house, and on your gates."
The Mezuzahs here all contain Deut.6:4-9 on a scroll inside, in literal fulfullment of this commandment. Each quality case comes with an explanation of the Mezuzah, and a lovely printed scroll of Scripture (not hand-made) inseide.
Some of the Mezuzahs sold here are specificly designed to be mounted on a doorframe. Most homes and shops in Israel have one.
